A LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR:

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I truly appreciate your interest in Walnut Grove Christian Daycare. The following is an overview of our facility.

Here at Walnut Grove Christian Daycare, I like to think that we are all one big, happy family. While your child is in our care, I love them as if they are my own. Children grow fast. Sometimes it feels like you blink and they are grown up.

We want to foster your child's development. How do we do that?
For infants:
It starts with a strong attachment to caregivers. We encourage this close connection by striving to maintain a 3 infants to 1 teacher ratio. This is higher than the state mandated ratio of 4 infants to 1 teacher.

For pretoddlers and toddlers:
We build a firm foundation of growth through social/emotional development. Most of this development is fostered through play. Children who are able to interact with peers, and are able to be self-reliant (to a point), have some of the best success in life. We don't just want your child to grow into a good student, we want them to develop into a well adjusted individual. I believe play is one of the most important things to help a child's development. It helps children discover the world around them and figure out how things work. Play is where creativity and critical thinking take flight. They also form self reliance, fine motor skills, and encourages cooperation and teamwork.
As our name suggests, we are indeed, a Christian daycare. We share the Word of God, even with the little ones. We sing Bible songs, tell Bible stories, and pray at meal times.

I have a very loving staff that devotes their working hours to care for your children with all the love and tenderness that God has shown us through His son, Jesus.
